From the egg’s point of view, Easter is a pretty disturbing holiday, with many disturbing traditions. So, let’s do what we do best – and see if we can make a horror film out of it!

At some point in the horror movie, a character will tell us everything we need to know. Maybe it’s an old legend, maybe it’s arcane research, and maybe it’s a campfire story that “everyone” knows is true. Now, I’ve never actually thought about what eggs talk about in the refrigerator – but it wouldn’t surprise me if it went something like this:
Clearly, these eggs fear that they are in the hands of a strange cult. Paint them bizarre colors? Hide them behind furniture? These are things that can only have some arcane meaning to the initiated. Except . . . there’s that boiling thing. That’s sounds more like a cannibal tribe, such as the one in Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno.
But now we’re in a position to move forward. We have our exposition, and, as a matter of trope, our first victim. Those who have heard the story can rest comfortably knowing that he who told it is destined to be eliminated first.
