The End of Lubdan’s Story (Or Is It?): Leprechaun 5 & 6

Leprechaun thumbnailThere’s really no other choice for binge-watching this coming weekend – it’s got to be the Leprechaun series starring Warwick Davis. So all week, we’ll be counting down this filming o’ the green, just so you know what you’re going to waste your weekend on. It’s day three, and we’ve come to the end of the original series with Leprechaun 5: Leprechaun in the Hood and Leprechaun [6]: Back to tha Hood.

Remember Leprechaun 3, when the leprechaun started out the movie as a statue in Las Vegas? Somebody must have thought that was a really good idea, because Lubdan gets turned to stone again in the year 2000 in Leprechaun [5]: In the Hood. Pimp Mack Daddy O’Nassas (played by none other than fan favorite Ice-T) of Compton, California, turns Lubdan to stone and steals his magic flute. O’Nassas uses the flute to become a successful music producer until it is stolen – along with the leprechaun’s gold – by three rap artists who want to build their own music empire. This returns Lubdan to his fleshy state, at which time he (by now you can guess what happens here, right?) embarks on a killing spree to regain his gold and his magic flute. This film is often rated as a favorite by fans of the series.

Another three years pass until 2003’s Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood finds the leprechaun Lubdan being dragged into the ground by demonic hands. But mud and demons can’t keep a bad leprechaun down, and Lubdan is soon released from the soil and tries to recover his gold from the teenagers who are enjoying the good life it buys, killing as he goes.

Here’s what you can expect from Leprechaun 6:
