Walt Disney World’s Frozen Fun has proven to be a successful crowd favorite. It is not surprising, then, that the company is planning a winter version in WDW’s sister park in Tokyo, Japan.
Like Orlando’s Frozen Fun, Tokyo’s Frozen Fantasy will feature character “meet and greets” and a plethora of (you guessed it) special merchandise. The event revolves around “a lovely world of ice and snow created by Elsa’s magical power.” Disney has confirmed that Frozen Fantasy will be a short-term event, and is scheduled to run only from January 13 through March 20, 2015. During the event, the Tokyo resort’s nighttime entertainment “Once Upon a Time” will be presented in a special version that features new scenes based on Disney’s “Frozen.” During the day, Anna and Elsa will make appearances and greet guests along the parade route to the music of “Let It Go,” the theme song from the film.
Although there have been rumors that a Frozen event may come to one of the Disneyland Resort Parks, there is no official confirmation of any such event at this time.
