Based on the novel Here Be Monsters by Alan Snow, The Boxtrolls movie focuses on a group of boxtrolls who have adopted and raised an orphaned human boy named Eggs beneath the streets of Cheesebridge. When the town’s villain, Archibald Snatcher (voiced by Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley), plots to get rid of the Boxtrolls, Eggs decides to leave the amazing cavernous home beneath Cheesebridge to venture above ground, “into the light.” Once topside he teams up with Winnie (voiced by Elle Fanning) to devise a daring plan to save Eggs’ adoptive family.
